Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026 · DataVault AI (STML Services)

The short version. The tools on this site run entirely inside your browser — anything you type, record or convert stays on your device and is never sent to us.

We do not use advertising, trackers, or third-party analytics.

The one exception: if you ask us to email you a printable, we store the email address you give us so we can send it. That is the only personal data this site ever holds, it is stored only because you asked us to, and you can have it deleted at any time by asking.

What the tools do with your data — nothing

The tools on this site (ClearTalk, the Transition Kit, What's in your kitchen, the data forensics tool and the rest) run entirely in your browser. Anything you type, record, convert or open stays on your own device. It is never sent to us, never saved by us, and never uploaded anywhere. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

This is not a policy choice we could quietly reverse — the tools have no server to send anything to.

The mailing list — the only personal data we hold

Some of our guides offer a printable version. If you enter your email address to receive one, we store:

The printable is handed to you on the page itself, so nothing is emailed to receive it. We keep your address only so we can send you occasional related guides if they are genuinely useful. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Where it is stored

In a database operated by Cloudflare, on our behalf, as our data processor. Cloudflare is not permitted to use your address for anything except providing that storage to us. We do not share it with anyone else.

How to get it deleted

Reply to any email we send you, or write to timolify+datavaultai@gmail.com, and we will remove your address. Deletion is immediate and permanent — we do not keep a "suppression list" of people who asked to leave, so your address is genuinely gone.

We keep your address only for as long as you want us to. If you have not opened an email from us in two years we will delete it, and we review the list for this once a year.

Cookies

No cookies are set on any public page of this site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

The one exception is our own private admin page, which sets a single essential cookie so that we can sign in to manage the mailing list. That cookie is never set for visitors, is not used for tracking, and is not accessible to any third party.

What we never do

Anonymous page views

We keep a simple traffic count so we know whether anyone is reading. It records which page was opened, a rough device class (desktop, mobile or tablet), and an anonymous random ID that lives only in your browser's local storage. It is not your name, email, address, or anything that identifies you, and it is not linked to the mailing list in any way. The count is deduplicated within 12 hours, so returning to a page does not inflate it.

The Data Forensics Tool advert at the bottom of each page works the same way: if you click it, we add one anonymous click to a per-page tally — no identifier, no IP address, nothing linked to you, at most one click counted per page per browsing session. We use the totals only to see which pages send the most visitors to the tool.

Payments and unlocks

If you purchase an unlock, payment is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. We receive only confirmation that a purchase completed, so we can deliver the key to the email you entered. An email address given for a purchase unlock is used solely to send that access key and is not added to the mailing list unless you separately ask us to.

Your rights

This is a UK service, so UK data protection law applies. Because the only personal data we hold is an email address you chose to give us, your rights are simple to exercise:

If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Contact

Anything at all about privacy — what we hold, what we do with it, or a request to delete it — write to timolify+datavaultai@gmail.com and we will answer honestly.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes and the difference will be explained here. We will never quietly start collecting more than is written on this page.
